Two new executive Directors appointed to MSA

As part of a restructure, the Marine Surveying Academy Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Directors, effective from 1 January 2018.

Existing Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary, Mike Schwarz, has been appointed as a Director.

Hilary Excell, who has been in post for three years as Business Manager, is also appointed as a Director.

Mike and Hilary join current Director, Paul Homer, to form an executive Board of three people.

MSA is a wholly owned subsidiary of the International Institute of Marine Surveying and the new Board will report to the IIMS Management Board.

One of the first tasks for the new MSA Board is to draw up plans to appoint three non-exec Directors. Drawn from across the maritime world, the appointed non-executive directors will be expected to provide a creative contribution and business improvement by providing objective input and criticism.
